Joe worked with us to find a good house for over six months. He was a tremendous help, always available when we had questions. The house we had our eye on was a very difficult Short Sale, and getting it was a long and complicated process. We were told that most people in our circumstance would have had to give up and find a new house. However, Joe managed solve the problem for us in a very professional manner. Joe really made the exhausting short-sale buying process simple. For us first-time home buyers, it's daunting to even think about the complicate process and piles of paperwork. We feel really lucky to have Joe by our side. He explained everything with great patience at every stage, and he is always prompt to answer emails or phone calls. We got some issue with the sold-as-is house, and Joe negotiated with seller and got us some credit, and it was also Joe who arranged contractor to fix the house. He was such an efficient connection between us, the seller and the lender. In our final stage of purchasing, he was pushing in a nice way among all the parties and helped us to close fast. We will definitely recommend Joe to coworkers and friends.

Joe owns a special quality in doing business the right way. He knows how to treat his clients both that have advanced knowledge about real estate as well as one that recently been in the market of buying or selling. He is always prompt with all of his work. Both of us that experience the lenghthy process of short sale have had the same smooth experience from the beginning to the end: Bank approval process, The listings, The buyer and bank negotiation, The escrow process and finally the close of the escrow. In my honest opinion both of our houses (Myself individually and my brother individually) would not be sucessfully in this short sale process had Joe not come to this crucial and difficult process. Behind the curtain Joe had spent countless hours in negotiation with the second lenders, first as well with the clients during the counter offer process. As well, sometimes I fell off the wagon and running a little off patient when it's time to fill countless paperwork but Joe again patiently explainig and guides me to pin point the exact paragraph that needs to be completed. Joe is a "Needle In The Haystack". Real estate is not just what he does for a living. He lives in it.

We were about 7 days before the start date of the foreclosures process (due to lack of knowledge about how to handle our real estate situation). As you know there are no set rules and guidelines that could remedy distress property/ loan that are underwater. We have tried loan modification, but the buzz word about Principal Reduction was just another tale of sweet deal that the bank never delivers. Immediately I contacted Joe Chen and he immediately contacted our lender and within 24 hours the lender stopped the foreclosures process and Joe began listing our property/ condo in the market under a short sale. Immediately within 24 hours he brought in several solid prospects that seriously interested in buying! We are so grateful that we met Joe because of his in-depth knowledge, his ability to strategize his moves (when it comes to deal with the lenders), his sense of urgency in letting us know the status of the short sale and his willingness to explain about any questions that we asked. Joe has demonstrated his professional qualities that I have not seen before. After his consistent effort and hardwork he finally walk us out of the "woods" of uncertainty into the complete process of the short sale. 1) Shortest time from listing on market on March 02 to closing escrow on March 24, only 23 days. In this poor economy condition, it is not easy. He followed step by step very closely and kept us informed all the time.

We recently bought our first home and Joe Chen was our real estate agent. Joe carefully listened to our preferences for a home and immediately showed us a condo that met all of our interests.
